Aloha & Welcome
The
Jacaranda Inn offers restful, romantic accommodations at an historic ranch
estate on Hawaii's Big Island. Eight rooms and suites are housed in buildings
such as former bunkhouses for Parker Ranch ranchhands. Modest plantation
style exteriors belie sumptuous interiors. Each room has a comfortable
sitting area and a grand bathroom. Along with a three bedroom streamside
home, the Jacaranda can accommodate up to 22 guests on about a dozen acres.
At the heart of the property is the main house which was built in 1897
for the ranch manager.
The estate is well located in the town of Waimea, also known
as Kamuela. Waimea is the island's dining destination and is found at
an intersection of rural highways that sport vistas as varied as they
are beautiful. While the Inn rests at an elevation of 2500 feet (762 meters)
above sea level, it is only a fifteen to twenty minute drive to the island's
finest beaches and golf courses.
